1. Scope
This policy governs use of WebOrigin's Broadcast Campaigns and Personalized Messaging (Excel Upload) features. All bulk sends must comply with this policy, the WhatsApp Usage Policy, and Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy.
2. Template Requirements
All bulk messages must use Meta-approved message templates. Free-form bulk messaging is prohibited by Meta's policies and is blocked by WebOrigin.
- All bulk sends require approved Meta message templates
- Templates must be submitted and approved via your Meta Business Manager
- WebOrigin syncs template status — only APPROVED templates are shown for bulk sends
- Unapproved templates cannot be used for bulk campaigns
3. Contact List Requirements
- Import only organically sourced contacts — contacts who have initiated contact with your organization
- Purchased contact lists are strictly prohibited — this is a WhatsApp ban risk
- Cold prospecting is prohibited — using WebOrigin to message people who have never contacted your organization
- Contacts must be in E.164 format (+91XXXXXXXXXX for Indian numbers)
4. Marketing Opt-In Requirement
For MARKETING template sends specifically:
- Document when and how each contact opted in to receive marketing communications
- WebOrigin tracks opt-in flags on each contact record
- Campaigns to non-opted-in contacts are blocked for MARKETING category templates
- UTILITY templates (fee reminders, schedules) have different requirements — see WhatsApp Usage Policy
5. Rate Limits
- WebOrigin enforces your plan's monthly bulk message limit
- Attempting to circumvent limits through multiple accounts is prohibited
- For audiences exceeding 10,000 per campaign, contact us in advance for approval
- Maximum 5,000 rows per personalized messaging Excel upload; contact support for larger sends
6. Content Standards
- Messages must not be misleading, false, or deceptive
- Messages must clearly identify your organization as the sender
- No adult content, political content, or content that incites violence
- Template variable substitutions must be accurate and relevant to each recipient
- No financial promises, guaranteed returns, or speculative investment content
7. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Immediate suspension of bulk messaging features
- Escalation to Meta if WhatsApp policy violations are detected
- Account termination without refund for repeated or severe violations
